Everything you need to know.

A level area roughly 4m × 3m with 12 feet width and 14 feet height of clearance for delivery access. The sauna is mounted on a trailer, so we'll need driveway or road access. We'll confirm your site works before the booking is locked in.
No. Our sauna is entirely self-contained — wood-fired, with a sealed water bucket for steam. That's the point of the thing.
A proper Finnish 85–95°C on the upper bench, a touch cooler below. Pour water on the stones for löyly and it will climb fast.
A 50% refundable deposit secures your booking. Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance receive a full refund minus the deposit. See our Terms & Conditions for the full policy.
A sauna and cold rain outside is one of life's great pleasures — we operate in most conditions. Severe storms or high winds may mean we reschedule, no charge.
Yes. All sauna users must complete our Health & Safety Waiver before their session. The link is also sent in your booking confirmation.

Terms & Conditions

The booking agreement between you and Northern Steam. Please read these carefully before making a booking.

01Booking and Reservations

Northern Steam reserves the right to decline any booking or cancel a reservation if circumstances warrant. A 50% refundable deposit is required for private hire to secure your booking.

02Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund minus the deposit.

03Health and Safety

Sauna use is not recommended for individuals with certain medical conditions. Participants should consult their healthcare provider before use. Sauna use is not suitable during pregnancy or if you have had a recent operation, recent heart attack, low blood pressure, or have unstable angina. Northern Steam is not responsible for any health issues that arise from sauna use.

Users of the sauna must follow all safety instructions provided by our staff and limit sessions to recommended durations. All persons using the sauna must complete the sauna waiver beforehand — the link will be sent within the booking confirmation email.

04Age and Supervision

Minors (under 18) may use the sauna only with adult supervision. Children under 12 are not permitted to use the sauna. Parents and guardians are fully responsible for minors under their care.

05Location Requirements

The rental location must be accessible for our delivery vehicle (clearance of at least 12 feet width and 14 feet height). The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate space and appropriate ground conditions. Additional fees may apply for difficult-to-access locations.

06Liability and Damage

The customer is responsible for any damage to the sauna unit beyond normal wear and tear that occurs during the rental period. Northern Steam is not liable for personal injuries, lost items, or property damage at the rental location. All participants use the sauna at their own risk.

07Rules of Use

No glass containers, sharp objects, or hazardous materials are permitted in or near the sauna. Excessive alcohol consumption is prohibited. Participants must wear appropriate swimwear. Aggressive or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

08Limitation of Liability

Northern Steam's total liability for any claim arising from this agreement shall not exceed the amount paid for the rental. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

09Changes to Terms

Northern Steam reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

Recommended Sauna Guidelines

  • Session Duration: Start with 10–15 minutes for first-time users. Maximum 30 minutes per session.
  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water before, during, and after sauna use. Bring your own water bottle.
  • Cool Down: After exiting, allow your body to cool gradually. Avoid cold plunges if you have heart conditions.
  • Breaks: Take breaks between sessions. Allow 15–20 minutes to cool down between uses.
  • Swimwear: Wear appropriate swimwear or towels. No glass, sharp objects, or excess clothing in the sauna.
  • Emergency: If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or unwell, exit the sauna immediately and inform our staff.
